The firmware is the built-in program that run on the MCP hardware panel. The firmware revision
number is shown on the MCP course display (left or right display depending by the MCP version)
when start-up or when you connect the power supply. Before to upgrade the MCP firmware check
the revision of the installed firmware and compare with the revision published on CPflight
website
page. Note that the firmware revision numbers have not relation with the
CPflighttools revision number.
To update the firmware download the mcpfwxxx.zip file (xxx = revision number), extract the
files in a temporarily folder and read carefully the enclosed txt or pdf document.

When you connect the power supply for firmware upgrade (with the two jumpers
inserted), a fast flickering of backlight should occurs; if none check the
power supply adapter functionality and connection.

| Unable to close the upgrade.exe utility |
If something is wrong when you run the firmware upgrade
utility, (power supply not connected, jumpers not inserted,
wrong communication port selection or error in the sequence
...) the upgrade.exe utility goes in a close loop and remain
active (continuously appear on the screen).

Close upgrade.exe through the windows task manager (Ctrl/Alt/Del).
If the problem persist restart the computer.
